In August 2025, Overt Software Solutions attended DTI CX (Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference and Expo) as delegates. Held on 6\u20137 August at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC Senayan), the event united government representatives, industry leaders, and technology innovators to explore the next chapter of digital transformation in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

As part of our visit, we created a video that captures the atmosphere of the event and shares the voices of three participants we interviewed. Their perspectives provide a valuable window into what drives interest in digital transformation today, and where opportunities lie for the years ahead.<\/p>\n

The Event in Context<\/h2>\n

DTI CX has become a flagship event in Southeast Asia\u2019s technology calendar. Designed to connect solution providers with professionals across industries such as finance, healthcare, telecommunications, logistics, and education, the expo floor showcases hundreds of enterprise tools and services.<\/p>\n

The 2025 edition carried the theme \u201cIndonesia Next: Leading the Digital Age with Government and Industry Collaboration\u201d, with a strong emphasis on AI, cybersecurity, and data-driven transformation.<\/p>\n

For Overt, joining the event as delegates was an opportunity to see first-hand how Indonesia is engaging with global challenges in digital technology and to bring back insights that resonate with our own mission in cyber security, identity, and enterprise services.<\/p>\n

Seeking Insight into the Future<\/h2>\n

Our first interviewee came to the expo with curiosity about where technology is heading.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWhat makes me most curious about coming to this exhibition is actually wanting to gain some insights. In fact, the development of today\u2019s technology, how far has it actually come? And in the future, I want to be able to picture where technology is heading.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For them, DTI CX is a space to step away from the day-to-day and glimpse the future. By engaging with exhibitors and listening to conference sessions, they began to form a clearer picture of the direction innovation might take over the next two to four years.<\/p>\n

Comparing Year-on-Year Advances<\/h2>\n

Our second conversation revealed the importance of continuity. This participant had attended before and was struck by how quickly the content evolves.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThis is a regular event, but what was presented last year will definitely be even more advanced this year. So I am curious to see what new technologies are emerging in Indonesia that can help my corporate clients.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

They highlighted that DTI CX is not static. Each year builds upon the last, with fresh demonstrations and emerging tools. For business leaders working with corporate clients, staying up to date is not optional\u2014it is essential.<\/p>\n

The Role of National Agencies<\/h2>\n

The third person we spoke with represented the National Cyber and Crypto Agency of Indonesia. Their focus was on education and awareness:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here with the goal of educating the public that the National Cyber and Crypto Agency exists for the people of Indonesia.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This voice reminded us that digital transformation is not only about products or platforms. National institutions play a key role in ensuring cyber security, building trust, and making sure that digital adoption serves all citizens.<\/p>\n

Themes That Emerged from Our Interviews<\/h2>\n

Although each interviewee had a different perspective, certain themes came through strongly.<\/p>\n

AI as a Central Force<\/h3>\n

All three touched on artificial intelligence<\/strong>. They were curious about its current capabilities, its future trajectory, and its role across different fields\u2014especially education and cyber security. AI is seen not just as a tool, but as a force that could take the lead in shaping processes and strategies.<\/p>\n

Security as a Foundation<\/h3>\n

Cyber security was also a recurring concern. Whether through AI-enhanced defence, traditional firewalls, or the work of agencies, the message was consistent: transformation must be secure to succeed.<\/p>\n

Closing the Gap with Global Leaders<\/h3>\n

Another strong theme was Indonesia\u2019s position on the global stage. Some participants asked how the country can catch up with leading tech nations such as China. For them, attending DTI CX was about identifying ways to close that gap and ensure Indonesia is not left behind.<\/p>\n
